Future Hospitality Summit Dubai: Designing the Next Generation of Leisure

Zachary Pulman spent an inspiring few days in Dubai for Future Hospitality Summit World 2025, where he joined the panel “Next-Gen Leisure: The Business of Competitive Socialising.”

The event brought together global leaders in hospitality, design, and innovation to explore what’s shaping the next chapter of leisure experiences, from AI to branded lifestyles and the evolving expectations of modern travellers.

Takeaways from Future Hospitality Summit World 2025

AI in hospitality
There was plenty of discussion around how AI can drive efficiency and enhance personalisation. But the main takeaway was: while technology can elevate operations, it will never replace genuine human connection, the heart of hospitality.

Branded residences
Residences aligned with hospitality brands are thriving by delivering an authentic promise of lifestyle and service. In contrast, non-hospitality brands, from car makers to fashion houses, often struggle to translate their identities into liveable experiences, risking dilution rather than distinction.

The future of travel
The direction ahead? Active travel, experiences that blend wellbeing, adventure, and even medical or restorative treatments. It’s a more holistic, experience-led vision of what we think of travel.

“It was a privilege to exchange ideas with so many forward-thinking minds in the industry,” says Zachary.

A Visit to Swingers Dubai

While in Dubai, Zach took the opportunity to visit Swingers Dubai, our latest design for the award-winning crazy golf brand and the first in the Middle East.

The venue features three imaginative golf courses, a grand clubhouse, a lively food court, cocktail bars, and a hidden speakeasy, all designed to entertain and immerse guests.

The expansive space opens with a dramatic clubhouse façade, complete with oversized loggias and terraces that create a theatrical sense of arrival. Inside, Swingers’ signature “outdoors indoors” theme unfolds through playful design details: sun umbrella lampshades, beehive-inspired lighting, and ceilings draped in lush foliage.

From the conversations at FHS to seeing Swingers Dubai come alive, the trip captured the evolving energy of the global leisure landscape, where experience, design, and connection continue to drive the future of hospitality.
